We've got Predators and Myers' a plenty, we've got Widows and Venoms galore. More Wizarding World movies? We've got 20! That's right, its that time of year. The summer blockbuster season is over and it's time to move on to -- fall blockbusters? Yeah, there may be more comic book adaptations and big budget franchises on the way still, but we've got so much more! Our buddy Ryan Scott from MovieWeb.com joins us to go over all the films we're excited about from September to November, and I promise you we have the BEST takes around.

Derek, not to be outdone by Myke's Geekdom Gamescast, is proud to debut one of our new formats! He's joined by Robert Bexar II to talk about FOOTBALL! NFL Football to be exact. They go over their fantasy leagues, especially the one they're in together, the week in NFL and a lot more. Myke also makes an appearance.

Check out Robert's other show "Bayou City Geeks" on YouTube!

Travis Moody and Myke are back with their TGF / God Hates Geeks spinoff show, 'The Geekdom Gamescast'

With the typically dry video game summer almost behind them, Travis and Myke go through all the games they actually DID get to play. Then they go through all the Gamescom footage and trailers and talk about what they're excited for coming out of it and they end by talking about all the big games that are starting September with a bang.

For more about the gift that Moody gave to Myke at the beginning of the episode, check out the episode post on GodHatesGeeks.com

It's catch up time with the hosts. Derek and Myke talk about what they've been up to recently and geek out about Fantasy Leagues, Derek seeing Mission Impossible in 4DX, the Good Place Podcast, Insecure, and a lot more. It's an old fashion Geekdom Fancast episode where we just ramble on like a bunch of nerds - which means its super fun!

Who would have thought that the summer's biggest rom-com would be one of the most anticipated movies for The Geekdom Fancast? Ironically, Derek did and he booked our amazing guest almost four months in advance for this very moment. There's no better way to celebrate the critical and commercial success of Crazy Rich Asians than to listen to us speak with awesome blogger, podcaster, and seven-time (when we recorded this) Crazy Rich Asians watcher Laura Sirikul on the show! Derek listens in as she and Myke squee over the food, the themes while he admires Gemma Chan and Constance Wu (respectfully, from afar). Laura also clues us into the changes between the book and the movie, what future sequels could have in store, and how her interactions with the cast and crew have been like.

Follow Laura on Twitter @lsirikul and find out all the awesome things she's up to!

Mattman and Tommy Two Stars, long time friends of the show, and co-hosts of the wondeful podcast Deep Fried Geeks, join us from Florida to talk about their geek years, and just generally shoot the shit. If you like the episodes with our Burger Lord Greg Mucino, imagine him and Ralph Garman hosting a show - that's the magic of the Deep Fried Geeks. We have food talk, a comprehensive guide to what's good on Netflix, and some pretty good impersonations. It's a classic TGF episode times two!

Listen to Deep Fried Geeks on iTunes or wherever you get your fine podcasts and check out their website at http://deepfriedgeeks.podbean.com

For the last, but not least time, that we talk about this year's comic con, we give our thoughts on the rest of the convention. If you heard the first part to this episode, you'll know we got our thoughts about all the big news and trailers out of the way, now it's time to really dive into the con itself, and our time OUTSIDE of Hall H. Greg Mucino, our Foodie Geek, and SDCC vet, joins us to talk about the infamous Indigo Ballroom, more TV panels, the biggest surprise of the con and more! This one's for all the SDCC die-hards.

Jul 26, 2018

With the absence of Marvel Studios, and a major Star Wars Hall H panel - was this year's San Diego Comic Con going to be any less fun? Not if you're with the Geekdom and God Hates Geeks. For the FIRST PART of our TGF coverage we brought a few of our friends from GHG to help us talk about Warner Bros, the CW shows, Justice League comics, AND MORE. Past guest and Friend of the Show Travis Moody brings along Jenn Casals and Kevin Palma along and to take YOU through our 2018 Comic Con panel experience.

Jul 13, 2018

Time to get back down with Marvel's smallest hero on the big screen, and this time he's joined by a new partner - just like we are. Well, our guest is returning, but you get the picture. Our friend, and fellow nerd, Gio joins us to talk about the *gasp* last Marvel movie to come out this year?! We go into full spoilers about the miniature mayhem that Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lily get us into in Ant-Man and the Wasp. Also, just like Gio's last appearance - we talk some sports?!

Jul 6, 2018

Our summer of Crichton is over as the two biggest adaptations of his work (right now) have either finished its season or been released. That's right, the ending to season 2 of Westworld happened to coincide with the release of the 5th Jurassic Park movie, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, and who better to help us devour this Crichton sandwhich than our foodie geek, Greg Mucino. We talk about how dinosaurs were opening doors, and why weren't those doors locked? We also talk about how Bernard might defeat Delores one day. Robots and dinosaurs, it's like our childhoods - but now in a podcast!

Jun 28, 2018

We've had a lot of great creative people on our podcast, but no one has quite jumped into that field with the tenacity of a blue collar worker like Adam Glass has. Adam has written on TV shows like The Cleaner, Cold Case, Supernatural, The Chi, and 9-1-1 and has written for both Marvel and DC for characters like Dad Pool, Suicide Squad, and most recently the reboot of Teen Titans!

Jun 27, 2018

June's almost over which means the Big Show in video games has come and gone. In a special second episode for the month, the Gamescast has reunited to bring you all the news from E3 2018. Youtuber, Streamer, and GHG gamer contributor Artez Bailey joins Travis and Myke to talk about every conference, every game they got to play, sneak peaks of games that are coming out that no one got to see, and so much more. Find out who won the console press conference war this year, who had the most lackluster showing, and what games surprised us the most. It's a hands-on, behind the scenes look at the biggest con in video games.

Jun 22, 2018

Our friend from the Great White North once again braves the heat of the American south as this year's ATX Festival has concluded yet another successful season. Dominick Dusseault joins up with Derek and Myke to talk about their favorite television festival, all the new panels they attended, new shows they're excited for, and old reunions they got to see.

Look out for Dominick's amazing photography of the event, and others @TheGeekLens on Twitter and Instagram, and at www.TheGeekLens.com

If you couldn't tell by all those eggs frying on your sidewalks, summer's here and the time is right for going to the movies (points if you heard the melody). Even though this year has already seen multiple superhero movies, and a Star War, we're barely just getting to June which means dinosaurs, more superheroes, skyscrapers, and impossible missions. Greg and Robert come back on the show to run down June to August in movies, what we like, don't like, think might surprise us, and more! Plus a special drop in guest.

Jun 6, 2018

Just in time for this year's E3 (don't worry if you don't know what that is, we'll explain in the episode), Myke is very excited to introduce a new format to The Geekdom Fancast! In partnership with Travis Moody and God Hates Geeks, we're proud to announce that we will be doing monthly (sometimes even twice a month) installments of our new video game show: The Geekdom Gamescast. These new discussions of video game reviews and news will be available via this feed or on GodHatesGeeks.com, and their correlating podcast feed.

On this premiere episode of the Gamescast, Travis and Myke preview E3 2018, gaming's biggest trade show that will see the announcements of all the exciting new games coming out in the next couple of years. The show technically runs from June 11th - 14th, but we'll be seeing conferences that are related to the show as early as Saturday the 9th. So check out this episode to get caught up on everything you can expect from all the major developers and publishes of your favorite video games and consoles from EA to Nintendo. Get those Amazon Wish Lists ready because this year might be a doozy.

Another Star Wars movie?! But we just did a review of one 15 episodes ago. Well we wanted to make sure you weren't *Solo* in your thoughts about this Han origin story. Albert Patrick of Whowhatwhereswhy returns to dish his opinions about the second Disney, anthology Star Wars movie. We talk about what we thought about new actors playing modern performances, how much Ron Howard really influenced the film, and what Disney does from here.

Check out Albert's various podcasts at whowhatwhereswhy.com or wherever the best podcasts are found.

Much like Deadpool would probably claim he was cut out of Avengers: Infinity War, our good friend - and previous guest of the show - Robert Bexar II was actually cut out of our Infinity War podcast episode (due to some technical difficulties). So it was only fitting that he get his own spinoff, to chat with us about a Marvel spinoff (kinda, not really). We go into full spoilers right away with our thoughts about Ryan Reynold's second outing as Wade Wilson. We talk about X-Force possibilities, how they robbed Morena of something to do, and how Peter is the best comic book character ever.

Check out Robert's campaign to fund his show 'Geek Haven' here: https://www.seedandspark.com/fund/geek-haven#story - even liking the page helps!

May 17, 2018

If you aren't the slightest bit familiar with our guest's voice for this episode then you must not have been playing video games for the last 4 years since she's been in some of the biggest titles from last year's smash hit 'Horizon: Zero Dawn' to 'Titanfall 2' and most notably playing one of the two protagonists in 'Assassin's Creed: Syndicate' - Evie Frye. Victoria Atkin joins us to talk about her work on television and video games, and how performing in modern day video games feels like theater in the round.  She also talks about her work as an author, specifically about her book 'London Love'.

After the conversation, Derek and Myke talk about what they've been geeking out about lately, as well as all the recent television renewals and cancellations.

May 3, 2018

What better way to discuss the cinematic crossover event of our lives, with our own little Geek Universe crossover with our pals at God Hates Geeks - The 'Traveling Nerd' Lance Paul and Travis Moody. Together we get to the nitty gritty of the beating Thanos gave to our Favorite Mightiest Heroes and their galaxy Guarding friends. Of course we spend most of the episode speculating about Avengers 4 based on the comics, but we also nerd out about ... well... everything!

Apr 19, 2018

What, did you think we forgot? Of course the ultimate fanboy, Derek, didn't miss Wondercon 2018. Not only did he have a stellar year, he also got to be part of some panels again! Listen to his thoughts and feelings about this year's Wondercon AND THEN hear some press only interviews from the casts and crew of FEAR THE WALKING DEAD and INTO THE BADLANDS!

Apr 12, 2018

How can we not talk about Ready Player One, and video games in general, without our pal DJ from the Gamesters Pair of Dice podcast? We all followed a main quest to the theaters to see Ready Player One, and you get the loot - AN EPISODE WHERE WE ACTUALLY TALK ABOUT VIDEO GAMES. And for those of you like Derek who would roll their eyes at that, even HE gets into what he played. Listen as he goes through his own video game history, while DJ informs us of the changes from the Ernest Cline's book to the movie, what geeky cars would we choose to race, and which references we were excited the most by. We're basic-ass nerds. Have fun.

The first time we had Gabe Carrasco on the podcast, he was telling us about his new job working for Aspen Comics, and now on his return - he's brought some BIG news. First we talk about how David Maisel (a founder of Marvel Studios) and Scooter Braun (manager of people like Ariana Grande and Kanye West) purchased half of Aspen Comics with the idea of bringing many of their properties to the big screen! Then we get the inside scoop on GABE'S NEW COMIC 'PORTAL BOUND' that he co-wrote with Mark Roslan, along with artist Alex Arizmendi and colorist Wes Hartman. GO BUY PORTAL BOUND at your local comic book shop and then listen to this episode!

Mar 23, 2018

Now that award season is over, and just before the big blockbuster-y movie season begins - we figured that we wind down a bit with a good ol' fashion episode where we just talk to our geeky friends. GHG founder Travis Moody returns to help us welcome God Hates Geeks Editor-In-Chief JL Caraballo to the podcast. He talks to us about his experiences being in the industry, what made him a geek, and then we get into COMICS and all the random things we've been geeking out. It's a good conversation that's kind of like multiple episodes in one.

Mar 13, 2018

Derek is joined by pod favorites Dana Keels and, long time absentee, Greg Mucino to parse through an Academy Awards that was simultaneously groundbreaking and kind of ho-hum. Listen as they go through what wins they were excited about, which ones were just straight down the middle, and how they overall felt about the award ceremony.

She hasn't been on our podcast in FAR TOO LONG, but has come back with a vengeance! The Geekdom queen Sherice joins us to talk about all our collective trips to WAKANDA in our full on spoilerific 'Black Panther' review. We. Get. Into. It. It's too much for any specific description breakdown, honestly. But old fans KNOW how great Sherice is on our awards show episodes, and if you don't rectify that. A great guest for a great movie -- WAKANDA FOREVER!!!
